Good days for a deity's pūjā

Pick a deity. The list shows the coming days that are its own: its tithi, read on the day the tithi holds at the hour the pūjā belongs to (midday for Gaṇeśa Caturthī, midnight for Śivarātri, before dawn for Ekādaśī, moonrise for Saṅkaṣṭī), its nakṣatra, and its festivals — with the day's own windows.

Times for Vrindavan, India.

Finding the days…

A pūjā falls on the day whose hour begins while its tithi holds (the vyāpinī rule). When a tithi covers that hour on two days, or on neither, regional almanacs settle it by their own rules — check with yours.

Labels: verse — from an owned translation; classical method — the corpus's method; rule — a graha's own day or hour; tradition — widely observed, not stated as a rule in the texts; festival calendar — from the almanac.

A pūjā offered with attention on any day is not undone by the almanac; these are the days the tradition marks.
